2022 Ian Stanley Classic

This event is held in memory of Ian Stanley, a great character, larger than life and a champion golfer. Ian was both a champion on and off the course, he was locally involved at the Hepburn Springs Golf Club for many years and amongst his other pursuits Ian was a founding director of the Tee Up for Kids Foundation, a not-forprofit organisation which raises money for under-privileged children in Victoria.

In memory of Ian, the Hepburn Springs Golf Club and Tee Up for Kids Foundation are working together to raise much-needed funds for Cafs (Child and Family Services Inc.) who are committed and dedicated to helping vulnerable children and their families in urgent need of support. These people are often in stressful situations and some young children are placed in emergency out-of-home care, having to leave home with just the clothes on their backs. 

The support Cafs provides is more than just their services – they also help clients feel loved and cared for, demonstrating that someone out there has their back. This is very important to someone in a dire situation such as finding themselves homeless or being taken from the care of their biological parents. 

By participating in the Ian Stanley Classic, your support contributes to the valuable community service that Cafs provides. In 2021 the Ian Stanley Classic raised over $18,000 towards Cafs programs in the Daylesford Hepburn area, and this year with your support we are looking to increase our contribution to Cafs.
